REAL WORSHIP costs!

 

"I will not offer to the Lord my God Sacrifices that have cost me nothing" ~ 2 Samuel 24:24

 

* one thing worship costs us is our Self-Centeredness. You cannot exalt God and yourself at the same time. You have not to worship to be seen others. You have to deliberately shift the focus off yourself toward God.

 

* Sometimes, Worship is a sheer Act of the Will --- A Willing Sacrifice.

 

* God does not want just a part of your life -- He wants all of you. He asks for all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.

 

* "True Worshiper will worship the father in Spirit and Truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the father seeks" ~ John 4:23

 

* God-pleasing Worship is deeply emotional & deeply doctrinal. So we have to use both our hearts and our heads as well.

 

* "Offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God -- this is your spiritual act of Worship" ~ Romans 12:1. God wants you to live for Him.

 

* Different Sacrifices of Worship : Thanksgiving, Praise, Humility, Repentance, Offering of Money, Prayer, Serving Others, Sharing with those in need, Ministries concerned.
